Elevating the Black mental health experience

Elevating mental health professionals so they can elevate the communities they serve.

Built by four practicing Black mental health professionals who teach what we practice: representation, cultural humility, and community at the center of everything we do.

About Elevate

Why we exist, who we serve, and how we do it.

Our vision

Elevating mental health professionals so they can elevate the communities they serve.

Most continuing education is a box to check. Elevate is built by four practicing Black mental health professionals who know the field from the inside, and we teach what we practice. Every training, event, and connection comes from lived experience, not scripts.

We also know that Black mental health professionals carry a lot. Elevate is more than education. It's restorative retreats, gatherings that feel like community, and peers who get it. Continuing education is one piece; restoration and connection are the rest.

Since 2024
Who we serve

Two spaces, two intentions.

Our CEU trainings and Corporate Wellness Workshops are open to any mental health professional who works with or may encounter Black clients, regardless of discipline or background, because serving our community well is a shared responsibility.

Our community events and retreats are intentionally reserved for Black mental health professionals. That boundary is by design, creating a space where they can gather, restore, and connect without having to explain themselves first.

Our values

Representation

We are proud to be Black mental health professionals serving the Black community. We lead, teach, and take up space in this field so that the people shaping mental health care reflect the people receiving it.

Sustainability

Black mental health professionals carry a lot. We create spaces to set it down: restorative retreats, gatherings that refill rather than drain, and a network of peers who understand the work from the inside.

Cultural Humility

We stay curious, teachable, and responsive to the communities we come from and serve. Whether we're training mental health professionals, hosting an event, or building a partnership, we lead with listening.

Authenticity

Everything we offer comes from lived experience, not scripts. We teach what we practice, we connect as ourselves, and we build community the same way we build trust in the therapy room.

Intentionality

Every training, event, and connection has a clear purpose. Opening our CEUs to mental health professionals of all backgrounds is a deliberate act of protection: equipping everyone who works in our communities to serve our people well.

Innovation

We're rethinking what it means to support mental health professionals. Continuing education is one piece; restoration, connection, and community are the rest. Elevate is built to hold all of it.
